I like to harvest my leaf lettuce by trimming leaves and allowing it to grow back and produce more...but it appears that you harvest the entire plant roots and all?

Is that because of hydroponics?

These were on their way out since I left them unattended for over a week due to travel.

Normally I do the same thing, trim what I need only when I need it. But since these were mostly on their way out I chopped the entire plants down. The tower system I run is not great for vertical growth, except for the first tier, so they were not going to get much larger either. Perfect for salads haha.

They still regrow and I put them into my tower for regeneration. I can post a pic if you want!
