First potato plant of the season was dug, Superior, weight 2 pounds, excellent quality. The tubers were cooked in a Dutch oven at 400F for 50 minutes, served with butter.

I've dug and stored all my first early potatoes, with the exception of some I held back, which should be ready end of August/ beginning of September, and have been enjoying them for two months.
2lbs per plant is a decent yield from early potatoes, but I'm unfamiliar with the variety, as it is not available here.
I hope the flavour's nice.
I usually boil mine, but the later ones are so big, I've made some chips (fries).
Mid season potatoes are ready, but, apart from one trial plant, remain in the ground.

Those are indeed good looking potatoes and you have a great harvest so far! Since I live in the city, and there isn't much area in my yard to grow anything, I enjoy seeing your harvest :)

Gee, that photo looks like you have a good harvest. They remind me of the sumptuous potato wedges I had sampled in a classy restaurant. And with matching dip made from melted butter, that's really a good one. We had planted potato once but the tubers were kind of small. My husband said the soil in our backyard is not appropriate for tubers. So now he reconditions the soil before planting anything.
