Is this fern (cyathea Cooperi) still alive and what will it require to establish itself again..

I don't know the particular fern, but it is green and looks like something coming back. What time of year have you got? Spring? Make sure it has water and my guess is it will be back, my umbrella fern does something like this every year. Coincidentally the lady who gave it to me is from Australia
