Fastest growing UK plants

I became inspired by a post from a woman who transformed her front yard into a biodiverse space filled with tall plants and lush green - replacing her lawn completely. While I don't completely want to get rid of my lawn, I was wondering which plants grow the fastest in the UK and how to reduce weeds in such an area. Any advice is appreciated

Hello friend, thanks for posting. I love your property and the lush landscape. It takes years to fill in a space like the above, and lot of money too so be careful what you choose. I would set up a yearly budget and do the work in phases. Ask your local nursery for recommendations on what grows well in your area. Keep it simple at first until you learn what is productive. Keep us posted on how it turns out.
