My Edgeworthia chrysantha (Oriental Paper Bush) has branches without leaves (see pics).
The plant is 6-7 years old. It never had problems. It had never experience this.

Are those branches dead ? What could I do ? Cut them ? Wait more time ?

My feeling for your plant is to leave it alone. Although I'm not fortunate to own one of these, I understand that many plants have had a few shocks over the past year. This could be why this is shedding leaves now.
I know that the Edgeworthia likes to be kept moist at all times, and wonder if it has maybe dried out on occasions during the hot dry spell. I would make sure it has nice damp roots, and I would definitely NOT feed it, and put some mulch around it to keep the moisture in as much as possible. I think then that it will grow some new leaves for you as it feels better.
If you scrape the bark of the tree with your fingernail, and find green underneath, you will know that it is still alive. Good luck.
