The Device is less than 3 feet tall and constructed entirely of metal. I have had many people look at it but nobody knows what it is!

Its pretty modern. welds are great. tight machine work. any markings at all? what part of the country? I put it on 3 other sites. This is a good one.

Thanks for your reply, DM. I found it in a 2nd hand store in a suburb of Philadelphia, PA. I will see it again next week and look for markings.

It looks like a nut picker-upper. We have something similar for sale here, to pick up pecans, although the ones we have are round or oval. They are also known as back-savers!

Holy Smokes! (pun intended) DM, that's it! Brilliant! The one in my photos is rectangular. I think we can assume that it is used for rectangular chimneys.
