I read that having a vaccum food saver is a good investment to help save food. Does anyone here use these to save some of your harvest from your garden for later use?

No, but I would love to try one. Some people have a problem with using plastic but society uses plastic for everything anyway. I had a friend who had one and she just froze all types of things. It pulled all of the air out for her and everything.

I love food vacuums, I had one, but it broke, I'm really considering to get a new one once things settle a bit more. They are so useful to pack food!

I just got my first one about a year ago and don't know how I ever lived without it before. Fruits and veggies stay fresh forever if they are frozen in vacumn sealed bags! My favorite time saving tip for you all is to cut up a bunch of your veggies and seal the up so that you don't have to do a bunch of cutting to get them ready for a meal later down the road. I like to make veggie packages for chicken noodle soup and freeze them for later.
