diy shelf style greenhouse question

I am building a shelf style greenhouse and I am wondering what kind of plastic I should use for the outside. I have access to many kinds as far as thickness and color. My question is what color is best clearish, opaque or white?

What are you looking to grow in the greenhouse? I would have thought clearish would be your best choice, but it depends how much light you're going to need.

Vegetables, fruits and herbs mostly. I've tried the store bought seed planter greenhouse kit things and some things I have good success with but most things I dont. My tomatoes and peppers get an inch or 2 high and then die. Maybe it's something I'm doing wrong I'm not sure. But the purpose of this project is because I don't have anywhere inside my house to really get a good light source and I think that may be part of the problem, so this will move my operation outside with hopefully better success.

You might want to check out greenhouse plastic specs to compare to what you can access. I bought some from ACF greenhouse supply who are in the USA.

The greenhouse plastic sheets are not crystal clear.
