Did I kill my dahlia?

Went out of town a few days and when I got back my plants were a little rough (it was a hot and sunny couple of days). My bananas were a little dry as well, but after plenty of water and overnight they look great. My dahlia however, still looks rough. Anything I can do? There is a little green poking up another spot as well, so maybe all is not lost.

That shoot has had it,would have perked up by now.

The tuber itself is probably ok.

Thanks. I cut it back, hopefully it grows ok from here. This was supposed to be a red/white dinnerplate dahlia that I am really looking forward to.
