Is there a good databse out there of info on plants? For example, how much to water, how to plant, how much sun, how long to germination, etc.? I happened upon the following site, which seems decent: https://garden.org/plants/.

Unfortunately, there are too many other variables, soil type, climate, wind, where you are in the growing season, for it to be worthwhile.
You get a rough guide on many seed packets as to when, where & how, but if you don't have the experience to judge, ask others locally.

The Internet is full of sites with information, but at any site you visit, be sure to double-check and think critically about any information received. All websites will contain some errors and poor advice, including this one.
