Daffodils

I have dozens of groups of daffodils but no matter what kind I plant,(and I have planted a LOT of different kinds) in a year or two they always come up as a dull yellow "standard" daffodil. What am I doing wrong??

Buying them from the wrong supplier. Properly sourced ones should come up as per the description on the packaging.
We had this with what we bought as Ice Follies which came up as some hideous orange and yellow thing.
How you plant or treat the bulbs would have no effect of what they grow as.

No clue what your doing wrong. I have over 400 Thousand daffs. Each drift is or grouping retains it character. no one changes. Maybe its the source.
