We live in the Hill Country of Texas. I ordered daffodil bulbs for our new home, but I was not able to get them in the ground before winter. Since it can be really warm here in the winters, I put the bulbs in the fridge until I could plant them. (Not sure it that's the right thing) My question is, when should I plant them? I've always done it in the fall and they just pop up as it warms in spring. Now I'm not sure what to do. Will I still have blooms this year if I get them in early enough?

I am a vegetable gardener and don't know squat about flowers. Just replied to welcome you to the forum. And, I was almost a neighbor of yours. I lived in Tarpley for about 40 years until I made the move to LaPorte last year. I wished I could still live in the Hill Country. This city living just isn't for an old redneck cowboy like me.
