What is causing my cucumbers to curl up almost like the letter "C"?
This is very common in cucumbers and is caused by improper pollination usually during periods of wet or super humid weather when the flowers are open. When a cucumber is deformed with being short and fat with a pointy end, this is caused by a lack of pollination.

Will the cucumber still be edible if it gets a decent size? It's already 3-4 inches long if it was straight and about an inch thick.
It will still be good to eat now but, I wouldn't let it get to a normal large size. It might turn bitter.

Thank you for the info! Same thing happened to me this year with the same variety of cucumber I used last year, so I was very confused. Now I just need to stop it from happening next year ;)

Thank you for the information! I finally understood the reason
