Corn Questions.

I am growing some sweet corn this year and I have a question. My corn has, at the base started to gow what I call shoots. in the attached Video you can see what I mean. Now should I remove these and How do i remove them, or do I just let them continue growing?

You do nothing with corn. Just let it do its thing. Maybe hill it a bit if too much root gets exposed. I am from Brantford also, near Brantwood Farms on Powerline road.
