I am new to container gardening. Any idea to get flowers grow as easy as veggies?

I don't know much about flowers so keep that in mind. But if I was starting them from seed I would start them in a seedling tray inside to control the moisture and temp.

Some I do this and some I just use a moist paper towel.

Just put them in a folded moist paper towel. Set in a dark warm area once they sprout put them in starter pots and transplant. I know a pain but works.

Just don't do like my wife and plant them upside down.

Moist paper towel really works for sprouting. I usually do for veggie seeds, and use pots for them during seedling. I do not know if it works for flowers. Maybe I need to have a try now.

I still think it would be best to gradually introduce them to the sun so they don't bake. Anything I start indoors I find it best to give them a head start until they are big enough and adjusted. Putting them from inside sprout to a giant pot outside usually isn't good. If something doesn't eat the sprouts the sun and temp change will fry them.

Setting here thinking on seeds taking them and sowing them put them in a tote water some then cover it. Soon as they start sprouting uncover them.

I grow hundreds of anual flowersevery year. I sometimes direct sow, but for me by far the best results come from starting out in seed trays then pricking out into plug trays. That's mainly because it's still cold when I start sowing and this lets me start them off indoors. But another reason is that it's much easier to control how your garden looks if you're able to 'paint' your design with little plug plants. It's hard to control where direct sown seeds come up.

All that said, in a container it's easier. Sow them thinly then as they germinate start to thin them out gradually (don't thin them out all at once incase some later die) until you have the desired spacing (according to the seed packet). Some seeds need light so shouldn't be covered, others need to be planted to a certain depth. Read the seed packet or google for info on your seeds. Placing some kind of clear plastic sheet over your container until the germinate will help stop the soil drying out (and will stop seeds being washed away in heavy rain).

I find flowers MUCH easier than vegetables. I've never had problems with any flower seeds I've grown.
