Hi,
In Feb 2018 (bought house then), I trimmed these bushes down a lot, possibly too much. They recovered and by now were overgrown, so I boxed them off again. The inner areas lack vegetation, the outsides have it well. Is the death of a yew something that is partial, or complete? Today I fertilized them with ground spikes (light dosage) and power of a similar product (also a light dosage), thus the combo represents a full dosage of fertilizer. The location is central VA, Hardiness Zone 6B.
The place gets some sun, prevailing winds from other side, so a bit less rain. Maybe the pictures below can help you tell me: 1) is there anything more to do? 2) Are these bushes alive, dead, or some kind of purgatory state?
Thanks!
