Leaves look like one of the herbaceous Potentillas.

Agree, possible Sulphur cinquefoil. Not exactly what it looks like!

It's a weed where I live in the UK.

Potentillas come in all shapes and sizes and it is hard to tell them apart just from the leaves. They range from pernicious weeds to very desirable plants.
