I was digging up one of my gardens to put in a walkway and I found what looks like a palm tree sapling growing inside a bush. I haven't seen any palm trees that have leaves that look similar anywhere near my house so I'm at a loss for what it is.

I have it in water right now, is there a better way to make sure it grows healthy so I can transplant it?

The first thing to do is get it out of the water and into some soil and then worry about finding out what it is

The plant pictured is not a palm (Arecaceae). It's an unidentified Eudicot of some kind.
