Camellia love acidic soil and if you planted it in alkaline soil it will get fussy. Dig around the base of the plants and feel the soil as deep as you can. If it's really dry about 6 inches in the ground then it just needs water. If the soil is wet then the leaf drop is caused by pH. Post a photo of the whole plant.
