Camellia leaf problem

Hi 2 of my camellias in a hedge have the below looking discoloured leaves on the lower branches. The top growth is fine and luscious green. Any help appreciated pictures attached

Could you take a pic of the whole plant? It might be that the older leaves are too old to stay on the plant.

A few tiny bug type things on the underside of some of the effected leaves. Many of them have a lot of black spots/residue on the underside of the leaf too that scrapes off. Most of the foliage is fine especially on the top half. Issue becomes worse to the bottom half of the plant

It could be from the insects that you found if they're underneath the leaves.

Thank you Tetters. I had a look at the link and the picture of tea scale doesn’t really look like my picture? It’s very silvery where as mine is more of a yellow/copper with black residue underneath the leaves

thank you Tetters that looks a lot more like my issue. Where did you get that picture from as it was not in the link you sent me? Is there any further advice of how I can treat the issue?
