I got a variegated Hoya compacta at a local nursery. It wasn’t in great shape, but it was only $15 so I couldn’t resist. When I bought it, it had small bumps on the stem of one of the 3 plants in the pot. They don’t seem to be pests, as far as I can tell they are growing from the stem itself. They don’t come off and are not spreading. Any ideas as to the cause of these bumps?
Secondary question: why is the newest part of the stem so woody? They cut it off obviously, but I’ve never had woody growth at the top of a Hoya. Thanks in advance!
