Broken pepper plant

I'm so sad! We had tangerine dream peppers growing in a container and it was doing so well! My toddler went to pick some peppers off and ripped the entire plant out and i heard roots tear i tried to plant it again since there was some sort of root system still intact. Gave it a good watering, but i doubt it will do any good. I need to baby proof my garden! She about killed all my sunflowers but 2.

My tomatoes are not doing as well this year as last year the weather is very hot here but I soakevthem so I'm thinking about acFall garden ifvtomaties will that work
