Botanical Garden. Greenhouse.

This Saturday I spent in the Botanical Garden at the Flower Festival. Most of the orchids are in blossom. Throughout the festival new plants will appear and blossom. The exposition is updated several times a week.
Here, master classes are held to care for plants or to teach Bonsai techniques.

Larisa: the first pic, is it an aechmea of some sort. I bought nearly 10 of them at 75p each and one of them was like that. Do they water the roots at all? I know I need to water into the urn, but I have no idea if I should water the root bits. Very strange and beautiful plants.

Special conditions have been created in the greenhouse. Very high humidity.
I grew aehmea at home. Yes, watering in the leaves and then the soil in the pot too.
