Hi!
I’d like some advice about how to grow a Boston fern in a correct way please.
Firstly as you may see in the photos, some parts looks a bit sad on the edge of the plant. Is that normal?

I know that plant needs a lot of humidity, my room has 60% humidity right now (London), I think that’s okay (?)

Also, I would like to grow it as a massive one. It will require time and patience but I will probably need to repot the plant at some point. My question about that is when, please?
Thank you :)

Boston Fern (Nephrolepis exaltata) will do best in bright, indirect light with regular water and good drainage. Fertilize occasionally for best results. Basically, similar conditions to those of your Asparagus setaceus. With time, older leaves will begin to brown and drop leaflets. Cut away any that are unattractive. If the plant is growing well, there should be many new leaves to replace the old ones that are lost.

More light, water, and fertilizer will all encourage the plant to grow as quickly as possible, as will ample root room. If the fern continues to grow well you may want to repot it into a larger pot by next Summer. Also be aware that there are many selected cultivars of Nephrolepis exaltata, with some forms naturally growing to larger sizes than others.

Asparagus Ferns care is easy since it grows well indoors or outdoors when planted in filtered sunlight or partial shade conditions. It does well when planted near other plants or trees to provide shade.

Asparagus Fern Care

The Asparagus densiflorus Sprengeri is a low-maintenance plant not requiring much care. The best thing about this plant is that it grows quickly and persistently. It also does not need any fertilizer or special soil, so there’s one less thing you have to think about when caring for your asparagus fern. An ideal choice for a novice!
In this article following is discussed in detail. I hope this will help anyone who loves to plant Asparagus Fern.
