Hello all,
Let me start first by saying i live in zone 7b.I come seeking help with some black berry canes that were given to me. One is in some water for about 2 weeks now and has started to sprout some leaves but has not rooted at all. The others i dipped in some rooting powder and put in some dirt but i don't think their rooting either . Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on how to get them to root ? I would lime to transplant them into my garden when the weather gets warmer.

Welcome @empress.

Time. It just takes time in my experience. About 4 weeks. Keep them around 70 to 75 deg F . while waiting.

Blackberry cuttings should be taken in fall, rooted in pots outdoors or in ground if you have a prepared area for them, and by the next spring they should have sufficient roots to grow canes. Spring is not the time to root cuttings of berry plants.

The ones you have in soil, keep in bright light, no direct sunshine and you may get lucky and get some to take.
