I got this plant for my birthday, but i don't know what it is, so i have a hard time finding info on how to take care of it.
do you know this plant?
IMG_20170328_171517.jpg

in the beginning all the leaves were a rich green color, but the last couple of weeks these yellowish dots have been showing up.

i have no idea what is going on.

my first instinct is that i should water it a bit more, but when i got it the only tip my friend could give me was "don't over water it".
the plant is on a well lit room, but on a place where it never gets direct sun light.
i have been watering it (little bit) about once a week.

Any infos about this plant?
Any tips on how to take better care of it?

thanks!
:)

Hey Boguz,
I am newbie as well so I am not a 100% sure but your plant looks like a peperomia jayde to me.
I am sorry but don't know anything about keeping indoor plants either.
I hope one of the more experienced members would know how to solve your problem.
Best of luck(y)

It does look like some type of peperomia.

I'd wait until the soil dries out completely, then give it a good soaking. Looks like too little water, too often.

Hi, @boguz ! :)

This is a pilea peperomioides. The plant prefers bright diffused light, regular watering and moderate air temperature.
It does not tolerate cold drafts.
I do not know why the leaves turn yellow. But this pilea has a special feature: old leaves die and fall off, and the trunk becomes naked with time.

@Tetters
It's just that we live in a cold climate. This is probably a bit ridiculous, but many people here fanatically grow houses exotic (for us) plants. Even those who are not suitable for home. :) Like @Beverly in her beautiful garden.
