We just moved into a new apartment and we want to have lots of plants, we haven't had the best results in the past due to inexperience. Can anyone recommend some good reads or what is the best way to get started. Also we want to find the best plants/trees (indoor) for our location, Austin TX.

John Dromgool has a nursery in Austin called Natural Gardener. This guy has forgotten more about gardening than most of us will ever know. Check it out. Its a hell of a place
