Looking for some plant ideas for a backyard. We are in Zone 8, in Vancouver Canada and the area received full sun and partial shade later in the afternoon. The sketchup rendering gives a general shade pattern at around 3pm. There is a pergola/swing that anchors the area in the corner that is facing southeast. The ground cover will be river rock and shaped organically as shown on the plan view. There is also a planter adjacent that is about 10'x2'.
For scale, the fence sections are 8' long, 6' tall.
Ideally, the plants will be low maintenance but I am open to anything at this point.
