Azalea problem

Please see the attached photo. Live in NE New Jersey - the bush faces east, and gets a decent amount of sun. Appears the azalea is dying, from the middle out, after growing well every year since we bought the house in 2003. Note the other azalea to the left that is doing very well. I use azalea fertilizer in the fall and spring.

Any solution, or should I just accept the impending death of the bush?

Nothing too drastic. There was a late winter warm spell followed by a cold spell.
