Hello gardeners, this spring I had two Aubrietas planted in a container. One of them died after blooming but released a lot of seeds. The result is a massive turn up of tiny aubrietas.
My question is what should I do with them? Should I just leave them like that and let natural selection and the survival of the fittest to run its course, or should I remove some of them. I think I will move some in separate pots for a while but still there will be a lot more remaining.

Your plan for handling your bounty of seedlings is sound, but you may want to thin out excess seedlings to some degree to allow the survivors more room to fill out more quickly. Transplanting some of them into other containers for later planting is Spring is a wise course.

Aubrieta (Aubrieta deltoidea and hybrids), in the Mustard Family (Brassicaceae), is an attractive perennial native to southern Europe and southwestern Asia. It has flowers in various shades of purple, occasionally pink, or white. They are grown for ornament in containers, beds, and rock gardens.
