Hi everyone, does anybody know what these 2 plants are please? As you can see they are pretty tall and I think they are weeds, but I'm not sure?

Not sure about the first one, there is little to distinguish it and it is a bit mixed up with the background. The second looks like a shoot from a nearby tree

The first one looks like wild broom (Cytisus). If there are any leaves, could you take a close up image of them please? I agree with Oliver on the second one but can't identify it. If it's growing fast then it's probably something you don't want in the garden. :)

I had wondered about broom, but it looked a bit too herbaceous, tall and thin, almost like the habit of verbena bonariensis.

It's growing all round me here Oliver and height can reach 10ft or more. It self seeds and grows as quickly as Sycamores do. Both are a blasted nuisance!
