Does anyone know a sort of natural way to get rid of apple codling moth? My Granny Smith apples always have a nasty black hole in them even if I spray them!

In the autumn I always put greece bands around the trunk of the apple tree to stop insects climbing up in the spring. Also hang traps and up in the branches that will attract moths. Inside there's a sticky paper that they stick to.
