Nope, not an aphid. Looks like a bean weevil and ladybugs won't eat him but they will eat the larvae.Question 1 is this an aphid ?
Question 2 will a lady bird / Larvee is them ? Ive ordered 100 larvee to help with pests
Bean weevils and many other types of weevils eat all types of vegetable leaves, not just what they are named after. But they are not on peas or beans they are just on my leaves of my turnips and radish ect ...
Weevils like other beetles are hard bodied insects and are fairly difficult to kill. Diatomaceous earth works fairly well on them if the product stays dry. Pyrethrin also works. Neem oil used as a soil drench kills the larvae but has limited effect as a spray. If you can get it the best thing to use is a spinosad based insecticide or Spinosad Soap. No matter what you use it will require numerous applications.Ok so what’s the beat way to get rid of them any ideas please ??
