Any idea why these bushes are dying?

I know very little about this stuff. For some reason, the bushes in front of my house are dying (or at least appear to be dying). I had some trees cut down, so is it possible they are getting too much sun? Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

Can you tell us if these shrubs are all the same species? It is difficult to see from this picture what the problem is. A few more clues could be helpful

To be honest, I know less than nothing about plants, bushes, and flowers. I haven’t the slightest clue what they are or if they are the same. And for that, I apologize. I did attach another picture, hopefully that will help.
