I feel so bad this year because I do not have a herb garden. I usually grow one every year. I hate pesty ants. Just looking at them make me itch. I am wondering if they are harming the herbs. Try speaking with someone at a store that sells plants to see if there is something you can purchase that won't hurt your herbs but will kill the ants.'

We also have a problem with ants. There are 2 varieties of ants - the small ones that are infesting our sugar apple tree, the big ones that are inhabiting our macopa tree. A farmer advised us to spray water incessantly to eradicate the tree of that rotten something that the ants are feasting on. We tried that and it works sometimes but sometimes it is not that effective. I guess insecticide is the best to kill the ants.

Ants are also eating the leaves of my chocolate mint. When I see them, I shake them off the branches and so far they haven't concentrated at the roof of the plants yet. It seemed to work, and I haven't seen those pesky ants back.
