Hello Taheera, welcome to the forums. This sort of thing happens in the garden all the time - nothing to get upset about, it's all part of gardening. Just cut the stem down to the bottom. Leave all the leaves on, and let the rest of the flowers take over. Next year they will all grow again and give you even more flowers.
Where we are, there are some partridges, and they wander around pecking all the flowers off. I got used to it now, and the plants get bushier because the birds have pruned them. Keep planting lots more flowers in your garden, and it will improve all the time. It's no good planting the flower head. It will not grow a new plant, and you'll have to throw it away. Keep smiling, and keep gardening :)

If you keep on planting other flowers in all the spaces, your garden will get better and better. Keep smiling, and don't give up. When things go wrong is the time we learn most :D

It happens, my missus grew some beautiful orange tulips with elegant, spikey flowers. Big dark cloud, sudden wind, all six flowers snapped off. They also will come back next year.
