We have a few leaves changing now too. Some of them are actually a lovely, sharp, bright red! And last week as I walked I noticed the smell of the fall leaves for the first time this year. I laugh at myself because I find it ironic that one of my favorite scents is of something decaying. ;)

My pumpkins have also almost all turned a bright orange and are ready for picking. Clipped my first two this morning to take to a friend's children this evening.

We are also having cooler days...still warm, but not hot...and chilly nights. The furnace would be coming on if I didn't have it turned off. I so love these days.....

I haven't noticed any signs of autumn yet. It's a little chilly, especially in the evening, but it's still okay to wear lace dresses and ballerinas, so I don't have any complains:p
On one hand, I miss the beautiful sight of red and yellow leaves, on the other I'm not ready for the summer to be over. It seems too soon.

I live in Arizona and though we don't have four very distinctive seasons, the beginning of autumn is always so clear and discernible. Though raking leaves is maybe my number one least favorite chore on the planet, fall is by far my favorite season.

It's definitely Autumn here! The leaves are just starting to turn, the weather is a bit more blustery and chill, but the biggest thing for me is that I can just smell fall in the air!

I'm not really sure what makes that smell, if it's the wind, or something in the air from the trees turning or what, but I love it. ^^

It is starting to seem like fall here. The weather is getting cooler and the leaves have starting to change color. I love all the changing colors of tge seasons. I have to admit that I wish winter didn't have to come after because I hate cold weather:p.

It is becoming fall here as well. It seemed like it just did an overnight change. After Labor Day weekend, the nights got chilly, and the days are cooler, and not so hot and muggy.
I have even gotten out a pair of sweat pants to wear in the cool evenings, and some socks.
Haven't needed either of those for the last few months, that is for sure ! Now, we could almost turn the heat on a bit when the evening chill sets in.
Leaves are falling off of the trees here, too, and just beginning to change color.

Yeah I like this time of the year because I get to snuggle in bed in the mornings. I hope it waits a while before it gets really cold.

LOL...I had hoped to have a campfire one evening two weeks ago...and it was SO hot it just wasn't in the cards. Now, we have cooler days and chilly nights. Like happyflower lady said, you could almost use the heat first thing in the morning or late at night. Thankfully we don't quite NEED it yet! SO enjoying the change...the feel of it, the smell of it, the look of it. People are decorating with pumpkins and mums and even some corn stalks. I harvested my pumpkins and gourds on Saturday and hope to do some decorating in front of our house this week.

Yeah people are starting to decorate for fall here too. I like watching people put different things out for fall from wreaths to scarecrows. It's an interesting thing to see what people will put up.

I think I actually enjoy the fall decorating as much (or maybe even more) than Christmas decorations. I am just enthralled by the colors!!

The leaves on my trees are ever so green, at this point i am just sitting on my porch and waiting foe the leaves of my almond tree to turn in that lovely golden brown color...it looks like i am going to have a long wait though.
