So in January I bought myself a 3d printer. Nothing fancy, it was $125 used from a guy local to me. He had used it for about 18 months, he runs a business where he 3d prints stuff for trade shows.
I put it on my workbench and started playing around with it.
Of course it wasn't long until I got a second one. This one is identical except for a few upgrades, including better motor drivers so the motors are quieter.
I wanted the upgrades and it was cheaper to buy the used one with them than buy the upgrades separate.
I've found some pretty cool uses for it around the garden.
I made little stakes for each of my plants I'm growing with their name.
Made a sign for my chicken coop
I'm also printing a bunch of plant clips. This style is for wooden skewers, for staking inside in my grow tent for my gourds and cukes.
and then these are for outside for my tomatoes to clip them to twine between stakes
This is inside the slicer program I use for setting up the model for my printer.
I can fit 40 of those clips on the printer bed and it will take about 2.5 hours to print.
I just thought I'd show this off because its super handy, I have found all kinds of uses for it so far.
Even made hooks for the side of my chicken coop
