I know only one of these questions go in this catagory .. Please let me know if I need to move my 2nd question to another category

1. Can you tell me what part/parts of the lavender plant gets harvested and what it is used for?

2. I have 9 strawberry plants in pots. 8 of them have flowers and are producing red strawberry. The 9th plant is not it is large and appears to be healthy. My question is I was told I might have a white strawberry plant when they were given to me. Can someone tell me if the red and white strawberry plants look alike and produce at the same time?

Usually, the flowers are used from lavender because that's where the essential oils are, they dry well and keep their scent.... but the leaves are also fragrant and can be dried and used. Both are great to dry and use in potpourri, sachets, pillows, infusing into herbal vinegars.... etc.... there are a ton of uses for lavender, but some of it depends on your skill. Lavender can be used in teas, perfume making, distilled, beauty care and as a sleep and anxiety aid.

as for the strawberry, you'll need to wait until it produces, even among the red ones there are different varieties

Thank you, I appreciate your help. The person who gave me 3 of the strawberry plants works in a nursery and they had sold all the white plants but he had rooted runners from them along with other kinds...lol that's why he said I had a 1in3 chance of having a white one.. guess I will just have to wait ☺

Love my lavender but so much to learn
