Two cups of roasted peanuts with the skins were purchased from a bulk food store and made into peanut butter. The peanuts were placed in a smooth tall jar and blended to the desired texture with a Bamix hand blender. This process is possible with a table top blender, but some scraping of the container is required to remove the finished product.
Apparently in most peanut butter the skins are removed- a personal choice.

Mmmm delicious. Did you add any salt or just pure peanuts?

Just the peanuts. It is probably very nutritional. The more it is blended the smoother the texture becomes.

Peanuts are relatively new to this area. They were introduced as an alternative crop when the government came down hard on tobacco about 30 or so years ago. This was a large tobacco growing area.
